School Education Program has been launched by ISBTI for students studying in 11th & 12th classes to create awareness regarding Voluntary Blood Donation & Anemia Eradication and encourage younger people to donate blood regularly.
The process of this program involves selection of Senior Secondary Schools and distribution of IEC material to the students of 11th & 12th classes for reading. Thereafter a day is selected and lectures are delivered to these students on various aspects of voluntary blood donation & anemia eradication. They are invited to interact and ask questions related to the topics. Then after a week’s time, following competitions are organized in the school based on the IEC material:
While Quiz Competition has to be compulsory for all the students, other competitions are kept as optional. All the participants are awarded “Certificate of Appreciation” by ISBTI and the winners of the various competitions are given prizes.
There is a tremendous response from the students who not only participated with a great enthusiasm but also came out with innovative ideas for creating awareness & motivating their parents, family members, friends & relatives.
