Blood Donation Camps

Blood Donation Camps are being organized regularly especially in rural areas & educational institutions to create awareness among children & masses in rural areas and to promote voluntary blood donation. Donors, Motivators & Camp Organizers from villages have been properly trained for the purpose. They are invited to attend orientation programs, motivational programs & training programs organized by ISBTI from time to time.

Apart from these regular daily camps, mega camps are also organized on special occasions. These include special days like World Blood Donor Day, Red Cross Day and Independence Day. Similarly camps are also organized on festivals like HOLI. People are so aware that they have even started to celebrate their birthdays, wedding anniversaries etc. by organizing blood donation camps on these days.

For creating awareness about voluntary blood donation among youth and students a pilot project “Promotion of Voluntary Blood Donation through Educational Institutions” was started in Rohtak and Jhajjar districts of Haryana. The activities undertaken in this project are monitored on Real Time Basis with the help of online MIS.
